The TAP Certification Training Program was begun by the United States  Transactional Analysis Association, now the North America Transactional Analysis Association (NATAA), in order to give recognition to those who are using Transactional Analysis in their work without having to go through the 4-5 years of training that is required to become a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) in the International Transactional Association. TAP can be thought of as a preliminary step to CTA for those wanting to pursue that certification or as a stand-alone certification for those who want to be certified as a TA Practitioner.

Who is this program for?

• professionals who want to deepen their self-awareness and gain a more advanced understanding of personal and relational patterns

• coaches, therapists, counsellors, and other helping professionals who want a clear set of TA-based skills and techniques to work more confidently and effectively with individuals and groups

• HR specialists, people managers, team leaders, and professionals working in organisations who want to understand human behaviour, motivation, communication, and organisational dynamics at a deeper, structural level

• educators, trainers, and consultants who wish to strengthen their theoretical foundation and apply TA models to learning, development, and systems

• individuals who have completed TA101 (or have prior exposure to TA) and want a more in-depth, practice-oriented program that goes beyond an introduction
